using a BMI calculater, at 5'3" and 102, your BMI is 18.7

BMI Weight Status
Below 18.5 = Underweight
18.5 – 24.9 = Normal
25.0 – 29.9 = Overweight
30.0 & Up = Obese

How can you do with your body fat tested?

I was in a similar situation. I was 120 at 5'7 "and had a body fat percentage of 21% per year. I changed everything, adding more protein and the elimination of almost all sugar, and assure you to get good carbs during the day. My weight increased, but my body fat decreased to 18.5-19% (I'm in my 40, to kill at least). In fact, given to 8 pounds, but my body has the same size (perhaps a little smaller steps.) simply because additional muscle less space than the fat I lost. Do not be afraid of only one kilogram, it is not fat. If you eat well, you can lose weight and gain some muscle. I think, because their fat is still very low, only 2-3 to win the work.

I am not a professional. I think just experience.

It does not matter even if a person is thin, it can still fat in them, and do not have enough muscle mass.

What you need to do is to expend more calories, but do not spam. "Increase calories to include more protein, fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lentils, etc. ..

Heavy on the proteins (but I do not support protein powder ... because you do not need or want that much in one session. You all day).

Keep the cardio and make sure that the resistance weight.

If possible, destroy sugar. This is a tip for those who, because all the calories you put into your body must be something to really help your body work.

You are smart to try to do it with caution, at his age. I would like to have. When I was your age was thin, all about being and my health is not worried. I paid for it. I think it's great that he wants to do well.

However, remember that you will not fall below 18% body fat. 17% more women stop menstruating. Also remember that in reality is not quite accurate to calculate the percentage of body fat, and you can be less than you think.
